Located in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, China, Valley Commons challenges the conventional definition of a commercial building. Responding to the site's unique topography and urban context, the project explores a more open relationship between architecture, landscape, and public life, creating a destination that combines commercial activity with public engagement and a close connection to nature.

“Architecture should not be imposed upon the site, but emerge from it, allowing space, movement, and view to unfold as an open field of relationships rather than a fixed object.”
